The upcoming Dashboard Confessional/New Found Glory show scheduled for December 12th at the Fillmore has been canceled due to family issues with Dashboard Confessional. The entire Dashboard winter tour has been canceled. From the band's website:

We have some bad news. Due to a family situation that is beyond our control, we have to cancel our upcoming tour with New Found Glory, Never Shout Never, Meg & Dia and Single File (we are still playing with the Louisville Orchestra on November 7th). We don't take this lightly but family has to come first. As this is a last minute development, we are still figuring out what we will do- as soon as we know, you will know. We apologize to everyone who planned on coming to the shows. We will find a way to make it up to you.

--Chris, John, Scott, Mike / Dashboard Confessional

Refunds for the Detroit show can be obtained at point of purchase.

Here's video from the Pixies' Doolittle tour...

Thom Yorke and his new superstar band (includes Flea, Nigel Godrich, Joey Waronker) played Los Angeles last night. The band played most of the songs from Yorke's solo album, the Eraser, plus they debuted four new tracks: "Open the Floodgates," "Lotus Flower," "Skirting on the Surface," and "Judge, Jury, Executioner."

Here's some video of the show:

Ian Brown (ex-Stone Roses vocalist) just released his 6th solo album, My Way. Brown recently was interviewed by British paper the Guardian and discussed his best and worst Stone Roses moments, ex-bandmate John Squire, the Oasis split and more. Read the article here.
Scott Weiland's ex-wife Mary will release her book Fall To Pieces: A Memoir of Drugs, Rock & Roll, and Mental Illness on November 10th. Watch the trailer for the book below.

Craig Owens made a short statement about being kicked out of Chiodos at his solo show in Rochester last week:

Owens has a show lined up at the Pike Room in Pontiac on December 13th.
Watch Paramore's MTV Unplugged set here.
Tom Morello's new band, Street Sweeper Social Club, will return with a new single, "Promenade" soon. Check out the video Morello made below to hear more about the single:

Did you notice the dog sleeping next to Morello on the couch?

Check out "Promenade" below:

The song is also on the band's official myspace page
