Morrissey and Paul McCartney's daughter Stella are collaborating on a line of vegan (leather free) shoes. Stella told the Daily Mail, "We are still in the early stages but the shoes could be launched next year."

Here's a link to the story via the Daily Mail. Be sure to scroll down the page past the tawdry gossip article on Chris Martin and Gwyenth Paltrow's marriage to read the shoe story.
Elizabeth Fraser from the Cocteau Twins granted a rare interview to the Guardian. In the interview, Fraser talks about the Cocteau's split, why she pulled out of the band's anticipated Coachella reunion, her relationship with bandmate Robin Guthrie, Jeff Buckley's death, and more. Read the lengthy interview here.

Fraser is set to release her solo single, "Moses" tomorrow in the U.K., and it looks like it will be available as an import vinyl single on December 15th. Check out a sample of the single here.

Marilyn Manson's ex-keyboardist, Stephen Bier (aka Madonna Wayne Gacy) will finally have his day in court on Monday. Bier filed a 20 million dollar lawsuit against Manson back in 2007 alleging Manson used the band's money to buy Nazi paraphernalia, personal items and gifts for himself and ex-wife Dita Von Teese. Manson later filed a countersuit against Bier claiming breach of contract. The case was scheduled to be heard earlier this year in January, however Manson's lawyers were successful in delaying the trial up until now so Manson would have time to promote his latest effort, the High End of Low. The trial may end up to be quite a spectacle considering Trent Reznor, von Teese, and Manson himself will be testifying on his behalf. Stay tuned for updates!

Mick Jones from the Clash and Tony James from Generation X have formed a project called Carbon/Silicon. The new cd, the Carbon Bubble, is now available from the band as a free digital download. That's right, you can click here and download the entire 12 track cd.

Here's the statement Carbon/Silicon posted on their official myspace page:

So there we were - seven years in the bunker, chipping away at the relentless face of an industry that doesn’t even want to listen once you get past 35 and when they do, they just want you to play all the old hits....

Mick and I were always going to be different this time around, a bit more radical, a bit more couldn’t care less about what has gone before, embrace this exciting time we live in and... and we just wanted to make great music.

Because after all it’s JUST about the music.

There was a lot a adversity against this band, even in the early days, all coming from different levels, but all loaded with the ability to wear you down and remind you of how hard it is to still be out there in this industry, at this time of our life.

But we believed we had something special and best of all it was all new songs - I’ve said before about how easy it is to just go out and play all the old hits - although I’m not denigrating anyone who does take that route - shit, it’s hard enough to make a living and both me and Mick have enough of a back catalogue to sell out a venue if we chose to make things easy - but we were determined to do it our way - cross new frontiers and find a new way.

I can’t deny we were both thrilled when we found the management of our dreams and there were some wonderful dreams fulfilled during the time we spent with them, but inevitably, when the artists have such a strong sense of identity, there came the parting of the ways, the time when the vision of where we were going differed to where the management wanted us to be.

And this caused both Mick and me a lot of pain and heartache..... it fucked with us personally and creatively which is why we appear to have disappeared and it’s why I’m writing this now.

The great Billy Holiday wrote “Don’t Explain”.

And I won’t.... but I will say that we are closer than we ever were, more determined to do it our way, to keep on doing what we do, with nothing to prove to the outside and everything to prove to our fans and the people that believe this group can make great music.

So here we go. And what I really want to say - what WE wanted to say - is just give us a few more days and then you can see and hear what we’ve been up to this past year.
We’re going to put the whole new album out there for free, complete with artwork, all in one go. We both know it’s not the album we intended to make, it carries the scars of recent upheavals, but it got made and it deserves to be heard - not least because it’s for real.

We look forward to hearing what you think....

It’s good to be back.

Well, apparently that wasn't a joke because the video is finished and it does in fact feature naked people. Lots of them. In the Forest. Flapping in the wind. Riding bikes. Yep, it truly must be seen to be believed.

KEEP IN MIND THE VIDEO FEATURES LOADS OF NAKEDNESS, SO DON'T CLICK THE LINK IF IT'S GONNA GET YOU FIRED OR OTHERWISE IN LOTS OF TROUBLE.

That being said, click here and enter the bizarre world of the Flaming Lips.

Morrissey cut short a show last night after only two songs. Apparently someone in the crowd whizzed a bottle at him and Mozzer had enough, said "goodnight" and left the stage. The crowd was notified a few minutes later that the show was canceled and refunds would be provided. Read more about the drama here.

Google's "music service" is now available. The search engine has hooked up with iLike to offer free music streams and more. Go ahead and try it...google your favorite band and a few song titles appear. Click the play button and you will be able to listen to a stream of the song (or any song that pops up during the search) for free. Google also directs you to other music retailers to purchase music if you'd care to do so.
The Dandy Warhols will be hitting the road next month for a handful of tour dates. Unfortunately they are not planning on stopping in the D. Check out the dates here.
