My Chemical Romance is expected to release their new cd, Danger Days: the True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys on November 22nd. Check out a trailer for the cd here.
The Radio Dept is offering a free download of their song, "the New Improved Hypocrisy." The song is available via the Labrador website here. The Radio Dept is expected to release an EP in November titled Never Follow Suit.
It looks like new music from Radiohead is on the way, but according to bassist Colin Greenwood, the band is still deciding on how to release it. Read Greenwood's essay on the music industry and technology here.

The Sex Pistols are launching a perfume line this Friday. The fragrance concocted by Etat Libre d'Orange is expected to be available at New York's Henri Bendel, thefragranceshop.com, and other fine retailers.


Crocodiles will release a new cd, Sleep Forever, on September 14th. In the meantime, the band is giving away a free 4-track ep titled Fires of Comparison. The ep (unlike the upcoming full length cd) is mostly instrumental--according to the band's press release, "both boys contracted strep throat from sharing a pipe with a hobo in Sand Diego's Preside Park, hence the lack of vocals." Nice.
Check out the trailer for the Social Network--the upcoming film about Facebook. The film is an adaptation of the 2009 book, the Accidental Billionaires. The Social Network opens October 1st.

Ted Leo & the Pharmacists released the official video for "Bottled in Cork." The video, currently hosted on funnyordie.com, takes a swipe at Green Day's American Idiot. Check out the video below:
