Foo Fighters closed out the Reading Festival on August 26th with a ripping two and a half hour set. David Grohl opened the show telling the audience it would be the band's final show for a long time, and they'd be digging out a few old songs. They made good on that promise and dusted off a handful of songs they hadn't played in awhile - "Winnebego," "Alone + Easy Target," and "I'll Stick Around." Grohl was clearly having a great time at the gig, and had fun with the audience. Before performing "Times Like These," Grohl told a story about joining Nirvana, and after that encouraged the crowd to sing Happy Birthday to his mother, who was in the audience. The Foos also paid tribute to the late Neil Armstrong (check out the picture on Taylor Hawkins' bass drum.) The BBC broadcast the concert and individual songs from the telecast is posted below.
