Here are the stories making news today:

The internet spent most of the day buzzing about Morrissey's appearance on The Colbert Report.  Colbert did an excellent job of ribbing Moz about his favorite subjects - the royal family, eating meat, and reuniting the Smiths - and Moz took it like a champ!  After the interview he performed "People Are The Same Everywhere," and "I'm Throwing My Arms Around Paris."  Watch the archive here.

Merge announced plans to release a live Dinosaur Jr recording next month.   Chocomel Daze was recorded in the Netherlands in 1987 while on the band's first European tour, and it'll be released on 150 gm vinyl on November 19th.  Pre-order your copy here.
