The Replacements have reunited and will be releasing an ep later this year!  Paul Westerberg and Tommy Stinson recently recorded four cover songs to benefit ex-guitarist Slim Dunlap, who is recovering from a stroke.  Only 250 vinyl copies of the ep will be pressed, and all copies will be auctioned off online.  Though they reunited only to record the four-track ep, Westerberg told Rolling Stone a new album and/or tour "is possible."  The report which is posted here also reveals that Chris Mars was asked to participate, but declined.  Meanwhile, more info on the Replacements' documentary Color Me Obsessed is posted here.

Deftones unveiled a new song called "Tempest" today.  The track serves as the first official single from Koi No Yokan, which arrives November 13th.  Stream "Tempest" from Deftones plus check out a couple of recent interviews here.

Mumford & Sons new album Babel debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart, selling 600,000 copies its first week out.  The album is the biggest debut of the year, and is the biggest selling rock album since 2008's Black Ice by AC/DC

Steve Albini has shared a recipe for his legendary "fluffy coffee" with the folks at Gothamist.  The elixir is reported to be badass, just like Albini himself. 

Green Day posted the tracklisting for their album ¡Dos!, which drops November 13th.

The Guardian dug out a 1975 interview with Neil Young which originally ran in NME.

A Go-Go's musical is in the works and Gwyenth Paltrow is reportedly in talks to produce it.  The source of the story is the Hollywood Reporter, but you might want to read NME's version instead (I'd rather see a picture of the Go-Go's than Gwyenth, but it's your call).
