Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic, Pat Smear, and Paul McCartney debuted a brand new song "Cut Me Some Slack" at the Hurricane Sandy benefit last night. According to Grohl, the guys got together about six months ago and wrote and recorded the song in a day! "Cut Me Some Slack" will appear on the album Sound City Reel To Reel - Music From & Inspired By the Film Sound City Movie. The documentary, Sound City Movie, premieres at Sundance in January and will be released worldwide on February 1st (order here). "Cut Me Some Slack" will also appear on a collection of live performances from last night's concert, with proceeds going to benefit victims of Hurricane Sandy.

Other highlights from last night's show include Eddie Vedder performing "Comfortably Numb" with Roger Waters and R.E.M.'s Michael Stipe joining Chris Martin onstage for a performance of "Losing My Religion."

Interview clips (courtesy of Fuse) are posted below along with performance videos.
