Sometimes I surf around on Bandcamp looking for new things to listen to - for those who don't do that on a regular basis, I would HIGHLY recommend it.  You'll run into a mountain of music - some of it is mindblowingly terrible, but there's also so much great stuff from bands all over the world.  The other day I ran into a gem from a band from Pesaro, Italy called Brothers In Law...

Initially I was drawn to the album because of the cover art (wrong or not, I readily admit that given a page of albums to listen to, I usually choose which album to listen to first based on the artwork).  Anyway, the flowers kind of remind me of the cover art on Power, Corruption and Lies from New Order, (which was a reproduction of a painting by Henri Fantin-Latour), so that was the first selling point of the album.  After clicking into the profile I noticed the band's label is called We Were Never Being Boring - yet another plus.  From those two observations alone I expected the album to be an old-school synthy album, which isn't exactly what it turned out to be, but it is really, really, good.  This album is an impressively solid collection of what the band describes as indie pop.  If you like Foals or the Radio Dept, I think you'll love this.

Stream Hard Times For Dreamers by Brothers In Law below and purchase the album on Bandcamp, Amazon, or iTunes. For more on Brothers In Law, visit their page on Facebook or We Were Never Being Boring's official site.

For those going to South By Southwest, be sure to check them out live March 15th at Flattop Burger Shop.
