A deluxe, remastered version of Mad Season's 1995 masterpiece, Above, will be released on April 2nd. Ahead of the release, Mike McCready has been doing some interviews to help get the word out about the remaster.  McCready recently chatted with Kyle Meredith from WFPK's show The Weekly Feed  and  shared stories about Mad Season, explaining how the band originally formed to help the members get clean and sober, and how the reissue and hooking up with Mark Lanegan came about.  McCready also discussed the Seattle music scene and how Mad Season helped give him the confidence to write songs with Pearl Jam.  Some exciting news was revealed: there may be a Mad Season tour if vocalist Mark Lanegan (and Lanegan's busy schedule) is up for it!

The interview is without question a must-listen for anyone interested in Mad Season, Pearl Jam, or Seattle side projects (McCready briefly mentioned yet another side project he's working on which including Killing Joke's Jaz Coleman).  Stream the interview in full below (also available to download here):

Pre-order Above now through Pearl Jam's store and on Amazon.  The digital version is also available to pre-order through iTunes.  A limited edition double vinyl version will be released on Record Store Day.

Mad Season's electronic press kit and tracklisting for Above is posted below. Stream the newly finished song "Locomotive" here.
