Last night the lineup for Chicago's Riot Fest 2013 was announced. The festival headliners include Blink 182 and Fall Out Boy, but the lineup includes a LOT of old school bands: Peter Hook*, X, Dinosaur Jr, Blondie, Violent Femmes, Mission Of Burma, FLAG, Bob Mould, Bad Religion, Guided By Voices, Quicksand, AFI, Brand New, Public Enemy, and more. The festival takes place September 13th through the 15th at Humboldt Park in Chicago. Passes are on sale now, and those interested in attending are encouraged to buy now because tickets are going fast (three tiers of tickets - each increasing in price - sold out within hours of the announcement last night). The full lineup and ticket info posted here.
*Peter Hook has been performing Joy Division classic albums in full during recent tours. His performance at Riot Fest is being billed as a 'Joy Division set', but Hooky hasn't revealed if he's going to be playing Unknown Pleasures, Closer, or a combination of the albums for this gig.
