The Pixies appeared on Later with Jools Holland last night and performed "What Goes Boom," and "Wave of Mutilation." The BBC site has video uploaded, however it's geoblocked in North America.  A rip of the performance is available below, though it'll likely get pulled later, so watch it now!  Fans in the U.K. can watch the official videos here, or the full show here). Additional performance footage from the Pixies will be broadcast on Friday's episode of Later With Jools Holland.

Meanwhile the Wall Street Journal posted another excerpt from their video interview with the Pixies. During the interview the band explained they favor releasing music on the EP format these days, but wouldn't commit to revealing future release plans. Interviewer John Jurgensen tried his hardest to get the Pixies to divulge their plans, but David Lovering shot that down, saying that the release of the EP 1 was a surprise and, "whatever follows will be a surprise as well. I don't think we're going to give in to let everyone know what's in store."

The Pixies also discussed doing things on their own terms with respect to touring and releasing albums, plus they talked about their music spanning generations. Watch the interview with the Pixies below:

The Pixies play the Roundhouse in London today as part of the iTunes Festival. The live stream begins at 4pm ET today and can be accessed through the iTunes Festival app. For more info, visit the official iTunes Festival website.
