U2 are preparing to announce details for their new album - their first since 2009's No Line On The Horizon. The band reportedly spent the week in Santa Monica shooting an album video/trailer which is expected to air during the Super Bowl. Other reports suggest the band will unveil a new song along with the video during the Super Bowl. The new album from U2 is expected to be released in April though the band has not confirmed a release date.
UPDATE @ 11:08 AM: U2 performed an unannounced three song acoustic set last night at Sean Penn's Help Haiti Home Gala benefit at the Hollywood Ballroom. So far video of the performance isn't available but a collage of photos has appeared on You Tube and can be viewed below:
Check out the official music video for U2's latest single, "Ordinary Love," which was released as a limited edition 7" single for Black Friday Record Store Day and appears on the soundtrack to Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom.
