Last year Todd at Dumbing of America turned me on to an excellent new band called Cheatahs -- their music is essential listening for fans of shoegaze bands like Ride, Swervedriver, and My Bloody Valentine, or other non-shoegaze acts like the Stone Roses and Supergrass.  To date Cheatahs have released a handful of EPs (the eps were compiled for last year's Extended Plays), and on February 11th Cheatahs release their proper debut full length, the self-titled Cheatahs.  The album is a wall-to-wall assault of blissful guitars and shoegaze awesomeness and is truly one of the best albums I've heard so far in 2014.  I predict Cheatahs will end up on a lot of year-end lists (including mine).  Stream the full album this week over at Pitchfork and pre-order from iTunes and Amazon.

For more on Cheatahs, check them out on their website, and be sure to read a fantastic interview with them over at Dumbing of America.
