The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame announced Michael Stipe will be inducting Nirvana at this year's ceremony, which is set to take place April 10th at Barclay's in Brooklyn. Other than the news about Stipe, the Rock Hall hasn't announced any other details about Nirvana's induction. One would imagine Stipe might perform after inducting Nirvana, given Stipe's relationship with Kurt Cobain, but so far the Rock Hall has remained mum about what type of music tribute is in the works. They have, however, announced other guests and performers for the 29th annual induction ceremony:

Michael Stipe inducts Nirvana
Chris Martin inducts Peter Gabriel
Tom Morello inducts KISS
Questlove inducts Hall & Oates
Bruce Springsteen inducts the E Street Band
Glen Frey inducts Linda Ronstadt

Additionally, Peter Gabriel, Hall & Oates, the E Street Band, and Cat Stevens will perform live sets after getting inducted, and a tribute to Linda Ronstadt featuring Stevie Nicks and Sheryl Crow is also scheduled to take place. HBO is taping the event and will air highlights from the ceremony on May 31st at 9pm.

Read more about this year's induction ceremony here.

Nirvana fans will also enjoy a recent piece in the New York Times titled Chasing Kurt Cobain in Washington State, which recounts a fan's recent visit to Washington where he conducted his own 'Nirvana tour' using the Kurt Cobain biography Heavier Than Heaven as his guide.   Check out the story here.
