According to a report in U.K. paper The Sun, U2's new album, the follow up to No Line On The Horizon, will be released before year's end. From the report:

"The U2 comeback is very much on for this year. This album has been a real struggle for them to make. It's taken a long time and Bono didn't find it easy. But they're very confident now and are convinced the wait has been worth it."

It should be noted that The Sun is a tabloid, however earlier this year a spokesperson for U2 told the Guardian that the band's 13th album would not pushed back until 2015, plus last month a new U2 record allegedly appeared on Universal Music's listing of fall releases.

It's interesting to point out that over half of U2's albums --  Boy, October, the Unforgettable Fire, Rattle & Hum, Achtung Baby, All That You Can't Leave Behind, and How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb -- have been released in the months of October and November.
