Back in 1987 when The Smiths announced their breakup, urban legend has it a man was in such despair over the news he took a radio station hostage and forced the DJ to play Smiths songs over and over. Now a film based on that event is in the works according to this report. Shoplifters Of The World will start shooting in June, and offer has been made to Russell Brand to play the DJ.
