Iggy Pop - Apres

Iggy Pop has announced plans to release his 16th solo album, Apres, on May 9th.  The follow up to 2009's Preliminaires features ten covers, including songs from Frank Sinatra, Yoko Ono, the Beatles and more.  According to the official Apres press release, many of the songs are French. Iggy explained why:

"Many of these songs are in French, probably because it is the French culture which has most stubbornly resisted the morntal attacks of the Anglo-American music machine."

Apres drops May 9th.  Read the full report in NME.
