Trent Reznor recently raised eyebrows when he announced How to destroy angels had signed a record deal with Columbia (Reznor has been releasing music independently since his bitter departure from TVT/Interscope.) On Sunday, Reznor explained his decision to return to the majors while speaking about the music business in Los Angeles, revealing he wanted to get the music out to a wider audience (not just his core fans who already know about him.)
