The Stooges are set to return with their first new material since 2007's
The Weirdness.
Ready To Die was produced by Stooges' guitarist
James Williamson, who returned to the band in 2009 and last appeared on 1973's
Raw Power. According to a
report in HitFix (via
Spin) the new songs were described as "old school Stooges" and "raw" by the album's engineer
Ed Cherney. So far an official release date hasn't been scheduled, though it will likely be out sometime before the summer.
