R.E.M. - Green 25th anniversary reissue

R.E.M. celebrate the 25th anniversary of their 1988 album Green this year. Today R.E.M. announced Rhino is reissuing a deluxe double-disc version of the double platinum album on May 14th. The new version will include the original material plus a bonus live concert captured at Greensboro, North Carolina, on November 10, 1989 (some video from this concert appeared on 1990's Tourfilm which is available to stream in full here). Green - the deluxe 25th anniversary edition will be available as a 2 cd set, digital download, and on 180 gram vinyl.

R.E.M. also revealed a limited edition five song ep, Live in Greensboro, will be released for Record Store Day. The ep includes five tracks omitted from the double disc Green reissue due to space constraints, and comes along with a non-reproduction patch (recently discovered in the band's vault!)
