Perry Farrell on Lollapalooza leaks & "goth" lineup

On Monday Perry Farrell officially announced details for this year's Lollapalooza festival.  To Farrell's dismay, the Lollapalooza lineup was leaked in the weeks leading up to the festival (and the leaks were even confirmed by multiple credible sources last week).  Chicago station WXRT interviewed Farrell about Lollapalooza yesterday and he revealed the leaks kind of bummed him out:

"When you have the leaks, sometimes the leaks aren't right, they're not accurate, you know, it's a pain in the butt. It’s a pain in the butt, it’s like you want to ask someone to marry you and your friend jumps in and says ‘hey he’s going to ask you to marry him’, you don’t want to hear it from that person, you want to hear it from the person who's going to marry you, right? In the past it's been a thorn in our side."

In a separate interview with Fuse TV, Farrell commented on The Cure, New Order, and Nine Inch Nails playing Lollapalooza this year and said,

"The theme this year is wear black, we're going goth, be a gargoyle, embrace the darkness!"

Check it out the video interview below.

Single day passes for Lollapalooza are on sale now.

UPDATE: single day passes sold out in about an hour. For anyone interested, Saturday sold out first (in about 30 minutes), then Friday (about 15 minutes later), and finally Sunday.

The only tickets left are the pricey travel packages Lollapalooza is selling, and tickets which are being sold by "fans" through secondary sites (PLEASE TAKE CAUTION WITH SECONDARY SITES - many times scammers attempt to sell fake wristbands to people).
