The Damned's Captain Sensible breaks rib; vows to continue North American tour

Scary times at the Damned's show in Toronto on Sunday night -- Captain Sensible fell off the stage and was rushed to the hospital. He suffered a broken rib, but is in good spirits, on the mend, and yearning to get back on the road. Due his sheer will and dedication to fans, only two dates of the tour were affected (including tonight's show in Montreal, and 5/4 in Boston), and have been rescheduled for later this month. The Damned are thrilled to get back on the road this Friday to resume their incredible 40th anniversary North American tour.

Read the band's official statement on the matter and view the updated tour itinerary below:

Official statement from The Damned

As I’m sure you’re all aware now, last night in Toronto, our fearless Captain took a spill off the front of the stage resulting in a broken rib. In an effort to “ Carry On Captain” we are postponing our Montreal and Boston shows to the following dates:

Montreal: May 23, 2017
Boston: May 24, 2017

All tickets and VIP packages will be honored for these rescheduled dates.
Most importantly though is that our beloved Captain recover and resume his exuberant duties. Let’s all keep up the good thoughts and positive wishes.
