Morrissey posted a statement today clarifying his stance on a variety of issues and reaffirming his declaration to deny print interviews. In the post titled The Slander System he continues to dispute the veracity of statements attributed to him in a recent interview with Der Spiegel, and goes to on claim that the newspaper refused to provide his team with an unedited audio copy of the interview.
Morrissey also took aim at the vapidness that plagues the current state of affairs in the music industry and decreed the need for change in 2018.
"Music is eternity, and the call of 2018 is the time to be new and different."
