The Cure previously announced two releases for Record Store Day - a newly remastered edition of Mixed Up, and the new remix album Torn Down featuring 16 new remixes of classic Cure tracks. These limited edition vinyl picture disc editions will be available in limited quantities worldwide for Record Store Day on April 21st. Fans that are interested in these Cure remixes now have another option to consider; today The Cure announced plans to release a 3CD deluxe edition of Mixed Up on June 15th.
The Mixed Up 3CD set includes Mixed Up, a second disc of rare remixes from 1981 through 1990, and a third disc of brand new remixes by Robert Smith. All the material has been remastered in 2018, or, with respect to Torn Down, mixed in 2018. The Cure opened up pre-orders for the collection today, however the North American links direct to older editions of Mixed Up, not the deluxe set, but should be resolved shortly. Meanwhile, fans in the U.K. can pre-order the collection here.
