Neil Young announces solo tour + plays Detroit's Fox Theatre

Neil Young announced a series of summer solo shows. The rare engagement sees the legend performing six shows in four cities, including Detroit. The Detroit show takes place at Fox Theatre July 3rd and presales are going on now. The general onsale for tickets is Saturday, May 19th.

On his website Young posted comments about every venue on the tour. Here's what he had to say about the Fox Theatre:

"At the beautiful FOX Theater, lovingly restored by my friend, Dick Kughn and his friends who love Detroit so much. The Motor City, where i first recorded with the Mynah Birds on Motown in 1965, where I appeared in a Hootenanny at the Chessmater Club on Livernois and wrote songs in the White Castle across the street; where I played Masonic Hall with CSNY’s first tour, and where I have so many great friends at Ford."

Young launched his archive website last year and recently introduced paid memberships which begin June 1st. Young says memberships will include exclusive content like pre-sale options, surprise live streaming, early access to archival content, and more. Some content will continue to be free, however fans do need to register to access any of the content on the website. Read his post on the matter here.
