New anthology inspired by Joy Division's 'Unknown Pleasures'


A new book collecting short stories inspired by Joy Division's seminal album Unknown Pleasures will be released September 6th. We Were Strangers: Stories Inspired By Unknown Pleasures is a 173 page book featuring 10 short stories - each story takes its title and inspiration from a song on the classic album. Readers should expect "tales of isolation and anxiety, but also ecstasy and otherworldly adventure."

We Were Strangers: Stories Inspired By Unknown Pleasures was edited by Richard V. Hirst and includes contributions by Jenn Ashworth, Anne Billson, David Gaffney, Jessie Greengrass, Zoe Lambert, Toby Litt, Sophie Mackintosh, Louise Marr, Nicholas Royle, and Eley Williams.
