Primal Scream unearth + release lost recording session from 1993

Primal Scream have announced the release of Give Out But Don't Give Up - The Original Memphis Recordings. Back in 1993 the band entered Ardent studios in Memphis and recorded an album with Tom Dowd and the Muscle Shoals rhythm section. The material cut during the session was never released, though the songs were eventually adapted and released on Primal Scream's 1994 album Give Out But Don't Give Up. The versions from the previously unreleased recording session are said to showcase more of a Southern rock & roll vibe and are "Primal Scream as you've never heard them before."

Primal Scream guitarist Andrew Innes recently discovered the tapes in his basement and the band decided to release the session material, which includes full songs, improvisational jams, monitor mixes, and more. The release arrives October 12th on 2CD, 2LP, or both (2 CD + 2LP). Check out the tracklisting below and pre-order here.
