While on tour in support of Call The Comet in North America, the legendary Johnny Marr stopped by KEXP in Seattle for a studio session. This is a fantastic live session -- Marr and his band were on point during their swoonworthy four song performance which included Marr's brilliant single "Hi Hello" and The Smiths' classic "The Headmaster Ritual."
In the middle of the session host Cheryl Waters displayed her interview chops by teasing out interesting and informative nuggets from Marr plus avoided badgering him with tired and awkward Smiths reunion questions. The topics covered included Marr's passion for performing, his Manchester band peers, how he developed his unique playing style/sound, the concept of making your own luck, and more.
