Morrissey announces Canadian tour

Morrissey is making his grand return to Canada in April with his first live shows in the country in over 15 years.

Morrissey has been boycotting Canada since 2006 due to the country's acceptance of various anti-animal practices/activities including the annual Seal Hunt. Last September Moz announced he was reversing his boycott admitting it "was ultimately of no use and helped no one" but hoped he could make an impact with charitable donations, promising:

"On my return to Canada I feel that I can be of more use by making sizeable donations to animal protection groups in each city that I play."

Morrissey has made good on his promise - proceeds from all Canadian ticket sales will benefit charities he personally selected (view list below).

The eight date tour kicks off April 15th in Vancouver. Tickets for the shows go on sale this Friday, February 22nd.
