Moogfest revealed in a statement:

"Gore’s enduring ability to connect the rawest aspects of the human experience to the dance floor defined an era and perpetually reminds us what it means to be human through the emotional power of electronic sound. For his contributions we are honored to name Martin Gore as the recipient of the 2019 Moog Innovation Award."

Gore will receive the award on Friday following his keynote conversation with Daniel Miller.

Moogfest takes place April 25th through April 28th in Durham, North Carolina. The annual festival pays tribute to Bob Moog, inventor of the Moog synthesizer, and celebrates the synthesis of music, art, and technology.
