In honor of his 60th birthday yesterday, Robin Guthrie released a new EP titled Springtime.
The instrumental EP follows a busy 2021 from the Cocteau Twins' legend. Last year Guthrie released a pair of EPs Mockingbird Love and Riviera, plus the full length album Pearldiving.
Of the release, Guthrie says the material was recorded in the summer of 2021, plus reveals:
"Spring is an important time for me. Often it's time to prepare for what's to come. It can represent new growth. It can also be a good excuse to use a great photo of some springs that I had taken."
