Video: Slowdive live session

Shoegaze legends Slowdive stunned and delighted the world when they reunited in 2014. Last year they released their critically acclaimed self-titled album and headed out on the road in support of the release.

While on tour in North America, Seattle's KEXP invited the band into their studios for a live session. It's hard to emphasize what a unique opportunity this was - the band rarely does interviews, let alone live sessions, but they graciously accepted KEXP's invitation. During the half-hour session they performed four breathtaking songs (three songs off of Slowdive and "Crazy For You" from Pygmalion) and did a short interview with host Cheryl Waters.

During the interview portion Slowdive talked about returning after being away for so long and being blown away by the reaction from fans. They reveal their album came together organically over two years and an important element for them was to be able to have fun, enjoy the process, and create music without pressure from a label.

The Slowdive live session is just extraordinary - the music, performance, and sound is superb. Stream and enjoy the session to the fullest extent below:
