Trent Reznor announces scrapped fall tour; selling NIN merch for charity

Trent Reznor revealed to fans today that plans were in place for Nine Inch Nails to play another North American leg of the Cold and Black and Infinite tour in the fall with Jehnny Beth (of Savages) opening. The 24 date tour included a stop in Grand Rapids and multiple-night stands in Seattle, Vancouver, and Toronto among other cities. Sadly due to the pandemic NIN won't be touring in 2020, however Reznor has put the merch created for the tour on sale through the official NIN store and will be donating profits to food banks.

Meanwhile Reznor has other things in store for the rest of the year:

"The current plan is to finish up some scoring projects, work on my limited patience skills, deep dive into new NIN material, and hopefully be playing music live for you in 2021. In the meantime… listen to Jehnny’s record (comes out June 12), continue to listen to Bowie, and don’t be too hard on yourself."

Along with the announcement, Reznor shared an impressive fan-filmed show from Cold and Black and Infinite tour which is available to view below along with Reznor's full posting to fans.

"I was just reminded today marks the two year anniversary of when we made you show up in person for the Cold and Black and Infinite tour. Strange to think about with the world the way it is now. I look forward to the day we can once again safely be in the same space and share the experience of screaming at the top of our lungs at each other.

Speaking of which, I suppose I can let you know we HAD a tour booked this fall that continued and expanded Cold and Black and Infinite. Jehnny Beth was coming along with us. We were excited. I’m bumming myself out right now. The what-could-have-been dates are below and we had some merch for that tour in production that we’re putting in the store with all of NIN’s profits going to local food banks in the cities we were going to play.

The current plan is to finish up some scoring projects, work on my limited patience skills, deep dive into new NIN material, and hopefully be playing music live for you in 2021. In the meantime… listen to Jehnny’s record (comes out June 12), continue to listen to Bowie, and don’t be too hard on yourself.

R.I.P., Ian Curtis

Forty years ago today the world lost the brilliant and legendary Ian Curtis.

Curtis was one of the greatest lyricists and songwriters of all time and touched so many lives with his incredible talent. He left behind a catalog of beautiful, dark and haunting music that was way ahead of its time. Without Curtis and Joy Division, the world would be an empty and less meaningful place.

Countless tributes have been posted to mark the 40th anniversary, but truly the best tribute of all is to spend time today listening to Joy Division and reflect upon the unique brilliance of Ian Curtis and how his life and timeless music resonated and impacted the world and continues to span generations.

R.I.P.

Devo launch new line of PPE merch

Devo launched new merchandise today including personal protection equipment.

The new line of merch includes Energy Domes with faceshields, individual faceshields (without the dome), cotton facemasks, Energy Domes, t-shirts and much more!

Gerald Casale of Devo says he can now reveal the "plain truth" behind Devo's iconic Energy Dome:

"It was designed according to ancient ziggaurat mound proportions used in votive worship. Like the mounds it collects energy and recirculates it.

In this case the Dome collects energy that escapes from the crown of the human head and pushes it back into the Medula Oblongata for increased mental energy.

It's very important that you acquire a plastic hard hat liner, adjust it to your head size and affix it with duct tape or Super Glue to the inside of the Dome. This allows the Dome to "float" just above the cranium and this do its job.

Unfortunately, sans hard hat liner, the recirculation of energy WILL NOT occur."

ClubDevo just launched and is a bit slow at the moment, but well worth the wait for Devo fans!

Check it all out here.
