Richard Ashcroft is about to release his highly anticipated solo album These People on May 20th. Last week Ashcroft took to the stage for gigs in Manchester and London to showcase new material from the album plus belt out fan favorites. Looking at some of the video that has emerged, Ashcroft is a man clearly enjoying his return to the live stage and he's sounding passionate, brilliant, and vital as ever! Swoon over fan filmed footage from Ashcroft's triumphant return below.

Note #1: the setlist for both shows were identical (same songs, same order) with a couple exceptions -- Ashcroft performed new track "Black Lines" and the classic "Space & Time" only in Manchester; in London he performed "A Song For The Lovers."

Note #2: During the London show Ashcroft wore the same suit he's rocking the on the These People album cover & "Hold On" music video , though he eventually peeled it off as the show progressed.
