Public Image Ltd celebrate their 40th anniversary this year with a world tour, career-spanning boxset, and cinematic screenings of the documentary The Public Image Is Rotten.

The Public Image Is Rotten (Songs From The Heart) collects PiL's singles, b-sides, live material, unreleased mixes and more and will be available as a 5CD/2DVD box or 6LP box. Both formats will be released July 20th and are available to pre-order here.

The documentary, The Public Image Is Rotten, was directed by PiL superfan Tabbert Fiiller and premiered last year at a handful of film festivals worldwide including Tribeca. PiL have now announced that a North American theatrical tour will take place later this year - the tour kickoff is September 14th at The Metrograph in New York City and the full list of screenings are expected to be announced shortly.
