The always stylish Dave Gahan is featured in a new ad campaign for Dior Homme. The campaign was the mastermind of artistic director Kris Von Assche, who has previously gushed over his love for Depeche Mode (DM was also included on the soundtrack to Van Assche's runway show last fall), and was shot by photographer David Sims. Others appearing in the ad include actor Lucas Hedges and models Dylan Roques and Christophe T Kint.

Dior's statement on the campaign's theme: "Spanning generations and disciplines, they plot an evolution of style that subverts the classicism of Dior Homme today."

View a photo of the decked-out Gahan below via NME along with a promo video for the ad campaign.

Unless Boz Boorer is playing a cruel joke on fans, it appears as though The Smiths will be releasing a new pressing of "The Queen Is Dead" on June 16th. According Boorer's latest IG post the single will be available at HMV and according to unconfirmed reports, the release will include three previously released instrumentals on the b-side. No official info on the release has been announced by The Smiths, Morrissey, Johnny Marr, or Warner Brothers. View Boorer's IG post down below.

UPDATE (6/14): The Smiths are now teasing the release on social media.

FYI: Boorer is reportedly in Rome recording new material with Morrissey. Though there is no photographic proof from inside the studio, Morrissey has recently been photographed in Rome.

Today is an important day in Detroit music history -- on this day in 1985 The Smiths played their first ever Detroit-area show. The gig took place at the Royal Oak Theatre and was the second stop on the North American leg of the Meat Is Murder Tour. This would be the first of only two Detroit appearances for the seminal band -- they returned to Detroit's Fox Theatre in 1986 to play their second and final Detroit gig. Oh, to go back in time!

The setlist from June 8th is posted below via Passions Just Like Mine. The site, which collects info and memorabilia from fans, confirms "You've Got Everything Now" was originally on the setlist and scheduled to be the first song of the second encore (before "Miserable Lie"), but was likely skipped.

Though a recording of the Royal Oak show isn't available, CanDragon was kind enough to upload audio (audio only) from the Toronto show that took place the following night -- June 9th, 1985 -- at Kingswood Music Theatre. The Toronto setlist is identical to the Royal Oak show other than two songs ("Handsome Devil" and "How Soon Is Now?") were flip flopped at the shows.

The Smiths -- June 8th, 1985 setlist

William, It Was Really Nothing
Nowhere Fast
I Want The One I Can't Have
What She Said
How Soon Is Now
Handsome Devil
That Joke Isn't Funny Anymore
Stretch Out And Wait
Shakespear's Sister
Rusholme Ruffians
The Headmaster Ritual
Hand In Glove
Still Ill
Meat Is Murder

Encore 1

Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want
Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now

Encore 2

This Charming Man
Miserable Lie

The The released a limited edition 7" single for Record Store Day titled "We Can't Stop What's Coming." The single sold out immediately, leaving many fans desperate to get their hands on a copy, but now a second pressing of the single has been released. V2 is pressed on Old English White vinyl and does not have etchings on the flip side (to preserve the collector value of the original limited RSD release). The single is available to purchase here. Fifty percent of the profits from website sales of V2 will be donated to St Nicholas Hospice Suffolk, the hospice center that cared for Matt Johnson's brother Andrew in his final days.

"We Can't Stop What's Coming" was recorded live during Johnson's Radio Cineola broadcast last May (May 2016), as a tribute to Andrew, who passed away in January of last year. The single includes ex-The The members (including Johnny Marr) and the cover art for the single features drawings found in Andrew's sketchbook.

"We Can't Stop What's Coming" is also featured in the new The The documentary The Inertia Variations and is slated to be released as part of a larger multi-media project Johnson is working on. A digital version of the track can be purchased on iTunes.

Watch the official video for "We Can't Stop What's Coming," which features footage of Andrew (as well as Matt) Johnson and serves as a beautiful and heartfelt tribute.

"We Can't Stop What's Coming" is the third song Johnson has written for a family member. "Love Is Stronger Than Death" was written for Johnson's brother Eugene, and "Phantom Walls" was written as a tribute to his mother.

A new Nine Inch Nails EP will reportedly be released ahead of the band's upcoming summer shows, and the EP will be the second in the band's trilogy (the first being 2016's Not The Actual Events). This news is according to fans on social media (via NinHotline) who reportedly received emails from NIN today about upcoming vinyl releases. At the very end of the email, Trent Reznor dropped this interesting news:

"Did you know there's a new top-secret Nine Inch Nails EP that will be released before the first shows we do this summer? Did you know Not The Actual Events was the first part of a trilogy of related EPs that will be released about 6 to 8 months apart? Now you do."

Check out a scan of the email here.

So far NIN has announced only a handful of dates including a stop at Riot Fest in Chicago in September.

Liam Gallagher made a surprise appearance at tonight's One Love Manchester benefit at Old Trafford Cricket Ground in Manchester, England. Once Liam hit the stage hopes were high that brother Noel would join him for at least one song, but alas, hopes and dreams were dashed when it was Chris Martin -- instead of Noel -- who joined Liam onstage for the final song "Live Forever." Though Noel's gotten attacked on social media for not showing up to perform, it's highly possible the idea of an Oasis reunion was shot down by everyone involved as to not overshadow the true meaning of the benefit concert. Maybe.

Update (6/5): Noel was reportedly out of the country on a "longstanding family trip."

Liam, who flew in from Germany earlier in the day in order to take part in the concert had some choice words for Noel on Twitter:

Update 6/5: Fan uploads have been removed from You Tube by the BBC's request, however the BBC granted Ariana Grande permission to upload the full concert on her YT channel so you can view it below (I have the video queued up to begin at Liam's set). The BBC also uploaded the performance of "Live Together" and that is also posted below:

You can also view a portion of Liam performing at the Pinkpop Festival. The performance includes two new songs "Greedy Soul" and "Bold" (note: video is taken from the live webstream and isn't so good at times, but the audio is excellent.)

Liam Gallagher debuted his new single "Wall of Glass" today on BBC Radio 1. As part of the exclusive first play event, Gallagher joined host Mistajam for a short interview. During the interview he confirmed his debut solo album is called As You Were, and is filled with "rock and roll, in-your-face bangers," though there are also some "calmer" songs. He says as far as the future goes, he's trying to live in the moment  -- do one record, go on tour, do great gigs -- and see what happens next.

He also briefly discussed his relationship with brother Noel who he refers to as "our kid." Liam reveals, "we had some good times...some proper, proper moments" but confirms he currently doesn't speak with Noel and says it's very sad. He does predict that he'll reconcile with Noel eventually if only for his mother's sake.

Stream the audio of the interview over at BBC Radio 1. BBC Radio 1 has also uploaded a video excerpt of the interview which you can view below along with the official "Wall of Glass" video. The single is available to purchase as a digital download through iTunes and Amazon.
