Tonight Peter Hook kicks off a three date New Order classic album tour in the U.K. - each night of the tour he'll perform Movement and Power Corruption and Lies in full with his band The Light.  After the mini-tour is over, Hook heads to North America for a two week promo tour in support of his book Unknown Pleasures: Inside Joy Division.  Hook's memoir was published last fall in the U.K. and will finally be released January 29th in North America.

Meanwhile, Hooky's ex-bandmates in New Order are back in the studio working on new material.  Last year Bernard Sumner revealed he'd like to return to a more electronic/synthy sound on the album.  If Gillian Gilbert's tweet is any indication, it appears things are going swimmingly in the studio!

Earlier this week New Order released their outtakes album Lost Sirens which was recorded during the sessions for Waiting For The Sirens' Call prior to Peter Hook's departure. The album is streaming in full over at Rolling Stone, and is available to purchase digitally through iTunes, Amazon, and Rhino. Pre-order physical import copies on cd and vinyl through Amazon.  A domestic physical release is not planned.
