Ministry has announced details for a new album, From Beer To Eternity. According to an article in Noisey, Al Jourgensen and the gang wrote and recorded riffs for 18 songs back in December before the tragic death of guitarist Mike Scaccia, who died December 23rd while onstage at a show with his other band Rigor Mortis. Jourgensen completed work on the album earlier this month and is planning to release From Beer To Eternity in September through 13th Planet Records. Jourgensen stated in the article that there will not be a tour to back the new album, though a one off show is possible:

"Maybe we’ll do one big show with Tommy and Sin and the guys who made this band possible for the past few years. That would be a nice tribute to Mikey. But I can’t do a whole tour without him. Ministry was his life almost as much as mine, and I’m afraid it has to die with him."

Meanwhile Al Jourgensen's autobiography titled Ministry: the Lost Gospels According to Al Jourgensen will be released this summer through DaCapo Books.  According to the DaCapo website the book is scheduled for a July 9th release. The listing for the autobiography includes quotes by several artists influenced by Ministry, including Trent Reznor, Corey Taylor, David Draiman, Tommy Victor, and Burton C. Bell. Trent Reznor's quote is posted below:

"Ministry was the single most important influence in the sound and concept of Nine Inch Nails. When I heard Twitch I was intrigued. When I heard The Land of Rape and Honey it blew my mind. The production, presentation and the aggression broke all the rules and was truly inspiring."
