Universal Music is celebrating the 40th anniversary of seminal Sex Pistols shows with the release of a live boxset. Live '76 includes four of the Sex Pistols' historical live concerts from 1976, professionally mastered and released in full for the first time. The set includes the band's legendary September 17th, 1976 concert at the Chelmsford maximum security prison as well as the June 4th, 1976 show at Lesser Free Trade Hall in Manchester -- the Manchester concert was attended by budding musicians including Morrissey (prior to forming the Smiths), Bernard Sumner and Peter Hook (who had not yet formed Joy Division), Mark E. Smith of future influential post-punk band The Fall; Tony Wilson, future Factory Records and Hacienda kingpin, and photographer Kevin Cummins, who would go on to capture countless iconic shots of Joy Division, The Smiths, New Order, and many more.

Live '76 will be released physically as a 4 LP or 4 CD set on August 26th in the U.S., and a week earlier (August 19th) in the U.K. A digital download version will also be available. Pre-order here or visit the official Sex Pistols website and view the tracklisting for the set below:
