The The launch the North American leg of their Comeback Special -- their first set of dates in 18 years -- on September 14th in Boston. As previously reported, The The's documentary The Inertia Variations will be screened in each city on the North American tour on the night before the show. The Swedish film was directed by Johanna St. Michael and explains why Johnson quit music and why he decided he needed to return. Johnson calls the film "essential viewing" for fans coming to see him live.
Screenings have been announced (with the exception of Brooklyn/New York) and tickets are on sale now. The New York and Los Angeles screenings also include a Q & A with Matt Johnson.
