Joe Jackson returned this week with a new, yet sort of old, album.  The album, The Duke, is a collection of ten Duke Ellington covers (new recordings of old songs by Duke Ellington, so it's new yet old.)  One of the songs, "It Don't Mean A Thing (If It Ain't Got That Swing)" features Iggy Pop on vocals.  Watch a couple of videos of Jackson talking about the project.  The first video features Jackson explaining how the collaboration with Iggy Pop came about:

Jackson will be hitting the road along with his ensemble band in support of the Duke this fall, plus he'll also play classics from his entire collection of work from Look Sharp! to Rain. The tour includes a stop at the Michigan Theater in Ann Arbor on September 27th, and tickets are on sale now. The full tour itinerary and tour information are posted here.
