According to Anton Corbjin, the Killers have recorded a Joy Division song for the soundtrack to Control. If you're out of the loop--Control is the title of the Ian Curtis biopic that is currently in the works. The film is the adaptation of Deborah Curtis' book, Touching From A Distance. The film is expected to be released in September, but there's no official word on when the soundtrack will drop.

Fall Out Boy's show ended with an onstage brawl the other night. The band was playing in New Mexico, and near the end of the band's set, FOB's roadie started letting some of the fans on stage to dance. Security at the venue wasn't so pleased and asked the band to stop it. Allegedly FOB's roadie ignored the request from security and things got out of hand. At one point, a security guard was allegedly scuffling with the roadie, so Pete Wentz threw down his mic, and allegedly started hitting the security guard. When Wentz was finished he reportedly picked up the mic and roared, "that's what you get when you fuck with my friends...asshole."

Apparently there was video of the whole thing, but it's been pulled from You Tube.

The Police will be celebrating their 30th anniversary this year by-gasp-getting together for a possible reunion tour! Nothing is set in stone yet, but word is that the band is in talks, and the only thing that is holding things up is money. So we shall see.
Why, yes, it is another MCR posting!

My Chemical Romance was supposed to appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Monday night. Apparently the show experienced technical difficulties, so they aired the band's rehearsal footage instead of the actual performance footage. The show will rectify the situation by airing the performance footage next Monday, January 8th, so tune in then to check it out.
There is an internet presale going on now for tickets to the Taste of Chaos tour. The tour will be co-headlined by 30 Seconds to Mars and the Used. The Detroit show will take place March 31st at Cobo. If you want presale tickets, go to the 89x website, click the Taste of Chaos link. The password is "taste".

Now that Marcos Curiel is back with P.O.D., Jason Truby is out of the band. Truby posted his official "goodbye" on the band's official website:

Jason Truby here.

First of all i want to clarify any questions concerning my involvement with P.O.D. I am no longer a member of P.O.D. I want to thank all of you for your support and love over the past four years. It has been an honor getting the opportunity to spend time with you and sharing music with you. My decision to depart as a member is personal and came before Marcos was considered. I believe in P.O.D. and will be apart of P.O.D forever. They are life long friends. As for myself, I've been working on a project with my good friend Phil Keaggy who is helping me with a vocal album, and also linking-up with Lance Garvin on some tunes as well. None the less, Thanks to all of you for the chance to be a part of this rally for the greater cause. Sometime you have to follow the wind even when you don't know where its leading. I pray the Most High will guide you in His unspeakable love. Good bye for now....
