The Verve will release their new full length cd, Forth, on August 26th. Click here for a preview all of the tracks from the cd.
A Morrissey dvd, Live at the Hollywood Bowl, is set to drop in October. Moz has allegedly spoken out against the release in a post on True-to-you:

The slapdash release of Morrissey live at the Hollywood Bowl is done by Warner without any consultation to me whatsoever, and is in breach of their terms as laid out by themselves in an agreement made for the film between Warner and my ex-manager. Being Warner, predictably the sleeve art is appalling. It is the work of cash-hounds, and I urge people NOT to buy it. I am not signed to Warner, and no royalties from this dvd will come to me. Please spend your money elsewhere.

thank you, MORRISSEY.

The dvd is set to drop October 6th.
The Police will return with a live cd/dvd collection titled Certifiable. All of the material featured on the release was recorded last December in South America. There will be 3 different versions to choose from:

  • 2 cd/2 dvd set
  • 2 cd/1 Blu-Ray
  • Triple vinyl with mp3 download

Certifiable drops October 7th and will be available exclusively from Best Buy.

This is coming from a tabloid, so the authenticity is questionable, BUT:

According to News of the World, Kurt Cobain's ashes have gone missing from Courtney Love's Los Angeles home. The tabloid has quoted Love as saying, "I can't believe anyone would take Kurt's ashes from me. I find it disgusting and right now I am suicidal."

If you missed VH1's special on Radiohead, not to worry! VH1 is streaming the special on their website. Click here to check out Radiohead In Rainbows From The Basement. Unfortunately, the video won't play unless you're in the U.S., so all apologies to those in Canada.

In other Radiohead news, a greatest hits cd and dvd (sold separately) will be released on June 3rd. The band, however, isn't standing behind the releases. Thom Yorke recently told NME, "We haven't really had any hits, so what exactly is the purpose?" Apparently the collections were put together by the band's old record label EMI, and the band wants no part of the releases.

Ex-members of the Jam will play at show at the Crofoot on February 5th. Bruce Foxton and Rick Buckler have recruited Russell Hastings and Dave Moore for a Jam "reunion" of sorts. Hugh Cornwell from the Stranglers will open up the show. Tickets are on sale now.

Noticably absent from the reunion is Paul Weller. Weller nixed the idea of a reunion, telling the BBC, "that will never, ever happen. Me and my children would have to be destitute and starving in the gutter before I'd even consider that...it still means something to people and a lot of that's because we stopped at the right time, it didn't go on and become embarrassing."
