Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark recently did an interview with Amsterdam online 'zine Face Culture. The six part interview focuses on the band's history - Andy McCluskey and Paul Humphreys discussed their early days, all their albums including their latest English Electric, and even revealed some of the songs in their catalog that they don't like and wish they hadn't released. Check out the interview below:

Segment 1 - discussion of pre-OMD bands

Segment 2 - on signing a bad label deal and having no money

Segment 3 - on their catalog and breaking into America & wishing they hadn't released "Dreaming"

Segment 4 - on drifting apart for a time and feeding each off of each other's ideas

Segment 5 - on getting back together & playing live in 2006

Segment 6 - on English Electric

English Electric was released at the beginning of April, and OMD are preparing to release the album's next single, "Dresden" on May 17th. The single will include the album version of "Dresden" plus a couple of remixes.  Take a listen to the single version and a new remix by Finnish duo Zebra & Snake (the Zebra & Snake remix will NOT be on the release, FYI):

Dresden tracklisting

1. Dresden (Single Version)
2. Time Burns
3. Dresden (John Foxx and The Maths Remix)
4. Dresden (Mike Jolly's Architectural Remix)
5. Dresden (Bounce Darkside Remix)

Don't miss OMD live when they return to North America in July for a handful of dates, which includes a July 20th stop at St. Andrew's Hall in Detroit. The full tour itinerary is posted here.
