XTC is reissuing its 1979 album Drums & Wires on October 27th. The reissue is the second in a series of expanded reissues (Nonsuch was reissued in 2013), and includes 5.1 surround mixes.  The CD/dvd-a includes a stereo mix by Steven Wilson plus 6 additional singles and non-album tracks; the CD/Blu-ray includes additional stereo and 5.1 tracks, new stereo album instrumental mixes, 5 demo sessions, plus promo films for "Making Plans For Nigel" and "Life Begins At The Hop." According to XTC's website, the tracklisting for the bonus material will be confirmed shortly, but fans can pre-order the reissues now right here. All pre-order copies come with exclusive postcards signed by Andy Partridge.

If you missed the news earlier in the year, XTC re-released the corrected polarity edition of Skylarking back in April. Details on that are posted here.
