Peter Hook's been on tour in North America playing New Order records Low-Life and Brotherhood in full, along with other New Order rarities. Prior to last night's show in New York City, Hooky hinted that a friend of his would be joining him onstage, and as it turned out, the friend happened to be Andy Rourke from the Smiths (and Freebass). Rourke came on stage and performed "True Faith" with Hooky and his band The Light. So far video of the full performance of "True Faith" with Rourke isn't available, but here's video of the first minute or so of the song:

In a interview published last week, the folks at Vanyaland asked him about the New Order book that he's been working on. [In 2013, Hook told MTV's The Hive, "The New Order book will be like Mötley Crüe...when I write that book, there will be some filthy, dirty, dark secrets coming out."] Here's the update Hooky gave Vanyaland about his book:
"...I must admit I’ve been done a great favor by Bernard because he made such an awful job of his memoir that it has left it open to me for the proper New Order memoir. I’m on 1982 at the moment, which is quite interesting as we are just starting to prove ourselves."
He also discussed how much he loves playing long lost songs from New Order's catalog:
"I must admit, listening to these songs, it’s the first time I’ve listened to them in so long, and I listen to the wonderful [Brotherhood] trio of "All Day Long," "Every Little Counts" and "Angel Dust,"...I’m like, "Wow." They’re blowing me away those songs. "Shellshock!" What a great song to play! I never had this much fun playing it when I was with the others!"
