Cold Cave (aka Wesley Eisold) premiered a gritty and intense new single titled "The Idea Of Love." The insanely good track serves as the A-side to the forthcoming Cold Cave limited edition 7" picture disc which arrives on September 9th. The picture disc's b-side is titled "Rue The Day." Stream the black and white video for the single below:

The release of the limited edition single coincides with Cold Cave's (woefully short) North American tour. Though the release is currently available to pre-order, Cold Cave revealed that most of the limited edition copies will be sold at live shows. Fans can pre-order the release while supplies last (NOTE: pre-order link features the non-censored NSFW cover art) here.

FYI: Cold Cave's last full length album Cherish The Light Years was released in 2011, and it doesn't sound like Eisold is planning on releasing a full length album anytime soon. He notes on Cold Cave's website that the band is "releasing music in any format and at any time" and is "laughing happily outside of the tired norm that is music industry convention."
