A Certain Ratio have unveiled their cover of "Houses In Motion," a song originally recorded by Talking Heads and released on Remain In Light.

A Certain Ratio recorded their cover almost 40 years ago with Martin Hannett and was intended as a collaboration with Grace Jones. Jones attended the initial recording session in 1980 at Strawberry Studios, but didn't finish laying down her vocals during the session and never returned to complete the job. Instead of Jones, the vocals on the track are guide vocals by Jez Kerr.

Stream A Certain Ratio's cover of "Houses In Motion" below.

The unearthed cover is one of two different versions of "Houses In Motion" included on ACR's 40th anniversary retrospective boxset. The 7LP or 4CD set compiles well known singles and hits along with 20 previously unreleased songs. Both editions of the boxset arrive May 3rd and are available to pre-order here.
