Last night Michael Stipe appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

Stipe's appearance on the program was to promote his new photography book Our Interference Times: A Visual Record, along with his two solo singles "Your Capricious Soul," and "Drive To The Ocean." Though Stipe did not perform, it was still a fantastic television moment. During the engaging interview Stipe discussed getting back into music, quitting social media, and feeling like a "misfit" of sorts.

One of the best moments: Colbert told Stipe that when Thom Yorke was on the program Yorke revealed his favorite R.E.M. song to be "So. Central Rain." Colbert then asked Stipe what his favorite Radiohead song was. Without batting an eye, Stipe revealed his favorite to be "Pyramid Song," then  did a little gushing over Radiohead and Yorke. Colbert then suggested they work together and Stipe didn't disagree.

Watch the interview with Michael Stipe below.
