The The fans have a LOT to look forward to this year!

On the heels of The The's new single announcement, Matt Johnson has shared a tentative release schedule for other projects that are in the works. The first of these releases is See Without Being Seen, Johnson's "lost" solo album he recorded as a teen. The album was previously issued as a limited edition cassette but will finally be available on CD on March 27th and is available to pre-order here.

Next up is "I Want 2 B U," the brand new The The single which will be released on Record Store Day, June 20th. Note that Record Store Day was originally April 18th, but has been moved back to June 20th due to COVID-19.

Johnson has revealed that "I Want 2 B U" and the b-side "Velvet Muscle Scream" will also be released on the forthcoming soundtrack to Muscle which is due out this summer. Muscle was directed by Matt's brother Gerard Johnson and has screened in the U.K. to rave reviews.

The The's 2017 documentary Inertia Variations will also be released this summer on Blu-Ray and DVD.

Finally, this fall The The plan to release Comeback Special Live which was captured in 2018. The film was shot by legendary director Tim Pope and will be released as a concert film on Blu-Ray and DVD and live album.

Please note the releases - other than See Without Being Seen and "I Want 2 B U" single - are tentative to give fans an idea of what's coming. Further info will be furnished once official release dates have been firmed up.
